The Acton Rangers had their second gymkhana of the 2023 Season on Sunday, May 7th. We had a total of 50 riders on a cold but sunny day. We like to welcome our new riders to the Acton Gymkhana, as well as congratulating Codie Raye Olson for being promoted to the AAA class from AA. Entry fees for the 2023 Acton Rangers Gymkhana are $7.00 per rider per class, or $40 for all six classes, and novice competitors (12 and under) are only $4.00 per rider per class, $20 for all six classes.
The horses were ready to go this month, as there were many fast times that were close, especially in the Single A division. By the looks of the results, we are going to have another year of exciting competition in many of the divisions this year. If you missed a gymkhana, don’t worry, there is still time for you to compete and have a chance to win a saddle or buckle.
During our Acton Rangers Gymkhana, The Acton Community Center hosted their annual Duckie Drop. All the Duckie Drop tickets were sold. The Duck was hoisted into the air and let the duckies drop. Once the duckies settled, the 3 closest duckies to the center of the target were gathered. Congratulations to the winners: 1st Place to Allie Klein, 2nd place to Cari McLane and 3rd place to Debbie Blaha.
Mark your calendars, the Acton Rangers will be participating in the Acton July 4th parade. We hope to see everyone there!!
We are expecting another sunny day for our June Gymkhana on Sunday, June 4th. As a reminder, our gymkhanas are on the 1st Sunday of the month from March to October, and the awards ceremony will be held at 9 am, on Sunday, November 5th at the Acton Community Center.
